What's Actually in an AC Maintenance Visit — and Is It Worth It in Miami?

Maintenance plans have a reputation: some are real service, some are a coupon in disguise. Here's what a legitimate tune-up includes, so you can judge any company's offer — including ours.

Why Miami is the hardest place in America to be an air conditioner

Your AC here runs 10–12 months a year — double the hours of a system up north. Salt air corrodes coils, humidity grows algae in drain lines year-round, and afternoon storms cycle the power. A Miami AC simply ages faster, which is why maintenance moves from "nice to have" to "the cheapest insurance you can buy."

What a real maintenance visit includes

What maintenance actually prevents

The three expensive failures we see most — compressor death, water damage from backed-up drains, and mid-summer no-cool emergencies — all telegraph themselves in advance to anyone who measures. That's the whole game: catch the $150 problem before it becomes the $1,500 one. Our guide on small problems that get expensive walks through exactly which ones.

How often?

Twice a year is ideal in South Florida (spring before peak heat, fall after it). Once a year is the minimum that still counts as maintenance. Zero is how you meet us for the first time at 9 PM in July.

No contract games: call or text us and we'll schedule a tune-up, tell you what we found with photos, and quote anything that needs attention before touching it. That's it.

Not sure what your AC is telling you?

Send us a quick text or call — describe what you're seeing and we'll tell you honestly if it's worth a visit. Family-owned, licensed & insured, serving all of Miami-Dade.
